Western Eye has Specialist Ophthalmologists who deliver a comprehensive general and surgical service to patients of all ages. Services include surgical options for cataract, pterygium and strabismus with doctors having sub-specialty expertise in areas including retinal and macular disease, ocular inflammation and infection, external eye disease, paediatrics, glaucoma, oculoplastics, neuro-ophthalmology and motility disorders.

Appointments
All new patients will need to have their referral assessed, prior to an appointment being made. Once assessed, one of our friendly team will contact you to discuss an appropriate appointment time relevant to your eye condition.
A current referral is required for all appointments; you will be entitled to Medicare rebates on most of our services and your claim will be sent electronically to Medicare after your visit.

What to Expect
An ophthalmology visit is a comprehensive examination focussing on the health and function of your eyes. When you come in for your appointment, the Ophthalmic Assistant and the Ophthalmologist will conduct various tests to assess your vision, eye pressure, and overall eye health.
